Red Hills Rods & Classics is extremely proud to offer you this one-of-a-kind award-winning 1932 Ford 3-Window Coupe aptly named WISEGUY. Built over the course of 27 years by Jim Wise, it is safe to say that countless hours of design & planning went into the creation of this amazing car.
If his name sounds familiar, its probably because you are sitting in one of his seats when you climb into your Hot Rod, as Jim is the owner of Wise Guys Seat & Accessories. Jim originally came across this car in 1984, while it sat on jack stands in the garage of a good friend in Oklahoma. In 2009, he decided it was time to start building what he truly loves most: a chopped American Hot Rod w/ a high-horsepower motor, and a perfect stance. Well, it turned into a lot more than that! The project started by chopping the original Henry Ford steel body by 2, which was done by Gary Roberts, and then raising the cowl for a much better profile.
The custom-built Dan Fink grille shell was lowered by 1, and the aluminum hood & sides (made by Steve Hardin) were filled w/ rows & rows of louvers, which were also applied to the deck lid as well. The louvers were done just right and look absolutely exceptional. Aluminum headlight buckets by Jesse Greening were installed, as well as custom 1937 tail-lights, which include LED brake lights.
Jim Weaver Custom Painting in Goshen, Indiana, got the nod to cover the Coupe in DuPont Black Diamond paint, followed by the three-color fine-line pinstripe, which looks outstanding. Jim then built a highly-unique frame, which at first glance looks factory stock, but it certainly isnt, and youll probably never see another one quite like it.Features include: Lobecks Just A Hobby frame rails, Wise-built super-strong round tubular X-members (1.75 OD chromoly tubing 0.125 thick), custom-built trans-mount, double tube chrome Molly rear section, adjustable 4-link chrome tubing, chrome Panhard bar, polished-chrome adjustable rear sway bar, custom-built chrome 5 drop axle, Aldan adjustable coil-over shocks (front & rear), chrome 4-bar front suspension, Wilwood disc brakes w/ polished & vented rotors, stainless-steel brake lines, Franklin quick-change rear-end, 31-spline axles, 3.00 axle tubes. 250 wall thickness, polished Posi-trac center section, etc.
She sits on a set of 15 polished Halibrand wheels (spindle mounts widened from 3.5 to 5) up front, wrapped w/ BF Goodrich P155/80/15 radial tires, and a set of original 2-piece ET III wheels (16x10) w/ one-off CNC machined center caps, wrapped w/ BF Goodrich LT315/55/16 radials on the rear. You can walk around this 32 Ford Coupe a thousand times and you will not find a bad angle. She simply has the perfect stance and sits the way a real Hot Rod should! When it came time for the interior, you can guess whose seats were used, and Jim went all out w/ one of his new low-profile bench seats that feature driver & passenger heating, a hidden center armrest, drink holders, a 3-point restraint system, and 12-volt receptacles located in the seat base. Bohdes Custom Auto Interiors then went to work using Havana-colored Finesse leather, and 100% wool German square-weave carpeting.Other interior features include: 1933 Ford Cabriolet dashboard, Wise-built billet aluminum dash insert, full set of White Hot Classic gauges by Classic Instruments, billet steering column w/ leather-wrapped Lecarra 4-spoke steering wheel, Hurst Competition Plus shifter w/ matching leather boot, custom-built chrome Molly gas/brake/clutch pedals, power windows, functional roll-down rear window, a hidden Jensen sound system w/ remote control, and (6) speakers (4 are carbon-fiber). The interior is extremely comfortable, highly functional, and tastefully done in every way. Now, lets get to the heart of this beast. Powering this stellar 32 Coupe is a 496ci BBC stroker motor, machined 0.060 over by Performance Technologies. Jim assembled the engine w/ J&E pistons (10.8:1), an Eagle 4340 steel stroker crank, Eagle H-beam connecting rods, Comp Cams camshaft, Brodix aluminum heads (fully ported & polished), Crane roller rockers, Crane valve train girdle, chrome Molly pushrods, polished Edelbrock RPM intake manifold, Holley Sniper Dual Quad EFI, MSD Pro-Billet distributor, MSD 6AL ignition box, Taylor ignition wires, Billet Specialtys polished aluminum serpentine belt-system, custom-built step headers (into 4 collector), custom-built 3 H.
Coated exhaust system, spiral core mufflers (into 4 collectors), Auto-Rad radiator (completely polished), etc. This awesome motor is linked to a polished-aluminum Richmond 5-speed transmission, featuring a Center Force pressure plate & clutch disc, billet-steel flywheel, Howe Racing hydraulic clutch, and a Lakewood bellhousing (completely chromed), which feeds power to the asphalt-shredding Franklin quick change rear-end. As you can imagine, this Coupe runs very strong, is extremely fast, and is an absolute BLAST to drive! This was a very expensive build to say the least, and only 317 miles are on the clock since completion.
She has been featured in Street Rodder magazine, and has won numerous First Place & Best of Show awards over the last few years. Again, if you have been searching for a highly-unique high-end American Hot Rod, and only the best of the best will do, it will be very hard to beat the WISEGUY!
