How Our System Works In Your Water Tank. ICCP (impressed Current Cathodic Protection) is a term used for electronically protecting metals which are subject to corrosion with a safe low voltage D/C current. This system replaces the factory installed aluminum Anode Rod (your odor source) inside the water heater with a non-degrading Titanium Anode Sensor Rod.
The odor will be gone within 1 tank cycle, corrosion protection will start immediately. This system works in hot or cold water tank systems from 13 to 110 gallons up to 212 degrees Gas or Electric. All connections & housings of this product are made from Aircraft-Grade 303 stainless steel.
This products sensor rod is made from 99.67% pure titanium that does not degrade. This product does not incorporate any plastic parts which are prone to failure, epoxy glued connection points, or slip-on wire connections as other products do. This system is engineered for years of trouble free operation. Response time is within 24 hours or less and a new power supply will be sent to you free of charge. How Our ICCP System Works. When our system is plugged into any 110 volt outlet, the power supply will send a current through the sensor rod to assess the water tanks electrical potential. The power supply LED will be red at this point. Within 3 seconds, the LED will turn Green if the tank is within the 13-110 gallon capacity.Our Titanium Sensor Rod is coated with a MMO Ti (mixed metal oxide) which has been the industry standard for over 30 years in salt water environments. Little to no degradation is found to occur for 15 years or more including high salt water environments. The MMO Ti coating on this Sensor Rod is there for an important reason. This added coating enables the complete transfer of electrons from the power supply into the tank sensor rod enabling complete corrosion protection. We do not use off-the-shelf power supplies or "brick" power transformers. Our power supply distributes a regulated current at all times. Our system incorporates a Green / Red single LED status light. Should a ground wire or anode wire become loose over time, the LED will turn Red to show the connection wire(s) need tightened. Once corrected, the LED will automatically turn Green. Our LED is wired directly to the "output" of the sensor rod unlike other systems which are wired to the"incoming" power. If the outgoing current to our Sensor Rod fails for some reason, our LED will turn Red.

We highly recommend using a 6 point socket when removing the factory anode rod to avoid stripping the bolt. The factories uses Red 271 Loctite (permanent epoxy) and may be difficult to remove. Do Not Drain the water tank during installation. The added water weight will help stabilize the tank when removing and installing our product.For water tanks that use Nipple Style Anode rods (bradford white, see main photos), a plumbing adapter will be needed. Nipple style Anode Rods are attached to your Hot Water inlet tube inside your tank. The 4 parts needed are available at any big box store at a. Nipple style Anode Rods are not recessed.
